Sweeps View/Cancel/New

This screen is to maintain your sweeps.

Process Options View/Cancel

• Account: Select the account from the list.
• The system will display the sweeps connected with this account.
• Click Cancel Sweep to cancel the sweep.

New Sweep

• Type: Select either Maintenance, Surplus or Two Way.
• Start Date: This will display the date the sweep will start, you cannot change the date, it is for information purposes only.
• Frequency: Select from one of the following frequencies:
  • Daily - For this option information regarding the Business Day will be displayed.
  • Weekly - Select the number of weeks.
  • Monthly - Select the month and the day of the month.
  • Defined - Select one of the following: Weekly, Monthly, 3 Months, 6 months or yearly.
• From Account: Select the account to debit.
• To Account: Select the account to credit.
• Amount to Maintain: Enter the amount. You will only complete this if the type is Maintenance or Two Way.
• Threshold Amount: Enter the threshold amount. You will only complete this if the type is Surplus or Two Way.
• Description: Enter the description.
• When you have completed the details click Submit.

Confirm the Application

• You will now move to a confirmation page where you can review the details. You might be asked to input an TAN

  Some processes in the Internet Banking system require the input of an TAN (transaction authorisation number) for security reasons. For example a TAN might be required when you make a transfer between your own accounts.

  How to Use an SMS TAN

  • click Send me a TAN.
  • an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone.
  • input the PIN number in the field SMS TAN.
  • when you click Save the system will validate the number. TAN numbers can only be used once.

  How to Use the Token Device

  • You must enter a new TAN for each transaction you make. TAN numbers can only be used once.
  • Click the button on the Token Device and a number will be generated on the Device screen.
  • Enter the TAN number, click Submit and then Confirm.

• Click Confirm. The system will check you are authorised to complete the process.
• Upon successful submission a message will be displayed on your screen. What does the Transaction Status Mean?

  The Transaction Created message has two different meanings depending on the system status (shown in the message area of all pages).

  When the system status reads Online

  • The Online Banking System is able to process payments in an online/real-time environment.
  • A payment processed while Online is posted immediately in the involved Bank account and it is reflected in both account balances and the account statement.

  When the system status reads Transit or Offline

  • Your payment is marked as Pending. The Internet Banking System can only mark your payment as an instruction for the next Online period.
  • The payment is processed in the next available working-hours (next available Online). The successful posting of the pending payments is always subject to the available balances of the involved accounts.
  • It is strongly recommended to always check the posting result of the Offline payments using the Online Transaction Status screen.

• You can print or save the e-receipt for the completed transaction by using the icons. The transaction number is from the internet banking system.
